A perfumed, cottage garden must-have, Philadelphus mexicanus is an evergreen medium shrub with pointed oval shaped light-green leaves. It is both drought and frost tender and likes a moist, well-drained soil. Native to Mexico.
They bear fragrant creamy-white single flowers in late spring. Prune back after flowering to maintain shape.
Mock Orange is useful as an informal hedge or border and makes a good background shrub & contrast for bright flowering perennials & smaller shrubs. Fantastic in cottage gardens.
